How safe are IV fluids for a dog with pancreatitis and a heart murmur?

My dog has pancreatitis, vet wants to put her on IV as part of her treatment but she has a heart murmur. How dangerous is IV fluids used in this treatment to a pet with heart issues? I've been told that they may not be able to tolerate it. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Female | spayed | 14 years and 5 months old | 20 lbs

However, if done cautiously, in almost all circumstances it is safe. Unfortunately, with pancreatitis, IV fluids are usually essential so you have to cautiously administer them.
