Why is my cat leaving blood spots on my bed with no visible wound?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

Hi! I have a cat, she's 4 years old. She got all her shots and seems pretty healthy. But I start noticing that she leaves blood spots on my bed. I have white sheets and every time when she lays there it appears. I tried to examine her but couldn't find any wounds or any source of blood. Maybe you can help me figure out what is it and if she's ok? Thank you!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Waffle. I would have her examined by her veterinarian. She may have a urinary tract infection and be leaking blood tinged urine. She could also have a sore tooth causing her gums to bleed. Skin wounds are more obvious so I suspect that you would have seen one in checking her over. Check her litter box though and see if she has any evidence of blood in the urine clumps or diarrhea or stool that is blood tinged. I hope this information helps!
