My puppy whimpers or screams at random times. He is currently in a splint for a fractured right hind leg. He is on Hanapentin and Vetprofen. I’m not sure what could be causing his wimpedinh/screaming? We went to the emergency vet twice when the break happened, once to get examined and then to have the splint put on. We also went to the vet yesterday to check the fitting of the splint. I posed this question to the vet and was told it could need more padding. He whimpered later that night.

I would suspect that Bambino's whimpering and crying is due to pain. A fractured leg would be very painful, and he is on pain medication to help with that pain. Be sure to give it as directed, and if you feel that maybe it's not helping, discuss with his vet possibly using another pain medication for him. Best of luck, I hope this helps.

Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Coco's care today! This may be due to pain. Leg pain can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Treatment will be dependent on findings though at the very least pain control medications can be prescribed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
