Why is my dog's ear bleeding? Is it possible it's from the brain?

My hubby thinks the blood in our dogs ear is coming from the brain. I told him that wasn't possible. It's not right? There's is no passage between the 2 is there? I told him it sounded rediculous.

Nope. It's most likely an ear infection, or a small wound down in the ear canal. The ear does actually connect to the throat, but not the brain. Since there's blood coming out, I would definitely recommend a trip to your vet tomorrow (or to an ER tonight if it's really driving you or Zena crazy). Good luck!
