Is dried toilet bowl cleaner residue on the floor toxic to my cat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 years old | 7 lbs

Not sure if question was understood. asking again Can Toilet bowl cleaner residue ever dry say if it was dripped or a puddle on the floor, so you cant track it around once dry? My cousin had a toilet bowl brush in a paper bag that she used after pouring toilet bowl cleaner into the toilet and put it in the laundry room 6 months ago. Well, Sunday she swept and I picked up the bag but I'm not sure if she swept around any residue because I saw a dry spot that was once wet. Floor cant be cleaned..

I don't think I am getting what pet concerns you have with this question (and I don't have access to your previous questions). Once toilet bowl cleaner was dried on the floor (which would certainly happen within hours), then toxicity is unlikely if your cat licked the dry spot or otherwise came into contact with it. Once dry, I would not be concerned with you tracking anything around the house. I have used bleach toilet bowl cleaner to clean sinks at vet clinics before since it doesn't splash when it is applied and rinses clean. The sinks are safe after rinsing and drying.
