I have a puppy that is approximately 3-4 weeks of age and we recently noticed her back feet look like this. I suspect it’s a type of mange but I’m not sure. They don’t seem to bother her, one foot looks a bit more swollen, it could be the scabs. She walks perfectly fine at the age she is. But it’s very worrisome to me. I tried to get the best but photos I could as she was moving lot. Thank you!

Hello. I cannot say for sure what this is without a hands on exam and some simple tests, but your veterinarian would be able to solve this for you pretty easily. Mange in a puppy this young is not common, but a simple and quick skin scrape would determine if it is mange. More likely, it is a skin infection- this may be bacterial or fungal. Your veterinarian can also check this. Fungal infections can be very contagious (Ringworm), so it is important that you have this puppy looked at as soon as possible.
