My Husky mix acts dramatic when I'm hurt. Is this normal behavior?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 55 lbs

My 16 month old husky/ Shepard mix has always been very loving but, recently is showing what I think is excessive concern when get an injury. Even when my wife fakes crying he will push, cry, and try to cuddle. Is this OK? Should we be concerned about anything?

Huskies are known for their loud, overly dramatic vocalizations so I think this behavior is normal for Fergus. I would not be too concerned about it unless he starts acting aggressively while being so vocal.
