My dog ingested Roundup and is shaking. When should I call the vet?

I think Oaf ingested a small amount of Roundup. He’s had tremors in the morning for two days. I don’t want to induce vomiting because I don’t know when he ate it. Other than the tremors, he seems fine. He hasn’t changed his eating or bathroom habits. I’m trying to keep an eye on him & not freak out.

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Roundup is generally nontoxic to dogs when it is dry, but when wet, ingesting it can cause gastrointestinal upset. If it has been more than 2 hours since Oaf ate the Roundup, it is likely already gone through the stomach and vomiting will not be effective. If Oaf began tremoring after the roundup was ingested, I would recommend he see his veterinarian as soon as possible. While ingesting roundup could be a cause, there are other causes of tremors in dogs such as a neurological problem and metabolic condition that will need to be explored and ruled out with his veterinarian. I hope this helps!
