My dog has diarrhea. Should I give Pepto or try chicken and rice?

My Bearded Collie (Maggie) has had diarrhea for the past 2 days. She is 77 lbs and seems in good spirits. I am going to give her rice and burger meat tonight. I was wondering if I can give her some Pepto? Pet's info: Dog | Bearded Collie | Female | spayed | 5 years and 11 months old | 77 lbs

I would recommend giving boiled chicken and rice. If the diarrhea doesn't resolve within a day or two of that I would call your vet. They can provide medication to help it resolve a lot faster. I would also recommend bringing Maggie if she starts vomiting, not eating or there is blood in her stool. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
