Why is my cat meowing constantly 4 weeks after having kittens?

My cat has become very vocal. She had kittens 4 weeks ago and ever since she constantly meows. Why?

It could be that Precious has gone into heat again! Cats can go back into heat relatively quickly after having kittens. That would cause her to be more vocal than usual. She could also be more vocal because she's communicating with her kittens. They are born with their eyes shut and their ear canals closed, and they stay that way their first few weeks of life. As their ear canals open, the cat uses her voice to communicate with them. If you don't want Precious to have any more kittens, I would make an appointment with the vet to have her spayed after her kittens are weaned. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

    If Lucy's primary sign is meowing and acting agitated, I suspect that she is in heat again. As the kittens start to wean most cats will go back into heat tomato again. I would strongly recommend having Lucy spayed so she is not continuously having kittens. In some warm climates cats can have up to three litters a year if intact.
