Why is my cat acting strange after dog flea treatment and vet visit?

We accidentally used dog flea treatment on our 10 year old cat 3 days ago. We took her to the vets 2 days ago as she was shaking, crying and having what I can only describe as mini seizures. She stopped over night and was put on a drip and observed. I picked her up yesterday and was advised they’re happy with her progress and to keep her hydrated. Since she’s been home it’s like she’s had a personality transplant. She flighty, keeps hiding in small places or up high. She’s experiencing involunta

Although Misty was improved when you brought her home and the tremors stopped, I would expect it will take her a few days to get back to normal. This is very common after a stressful event like a hospital stay. Give Misty 3-5 days to become reacclimated to her environment. Offer her lots of attention, treats, and keep stress as minimal as possible. If, after this period of time she’s still not acting normal, I would recommend taking her back in for a recheck examination.
