My puppy has a bump near his eye. Is it a stye? Should I treat it or see a vet?

Hello, my puppy Odin recently had this small little ball near his eye. It almost looks like a sty. I attached some photos. Is this something I should be concerned about. Do I let it go away or take him to vet ? He’s acting normal. And I can’t recall when I first saw it.

It is possible that Odin has a stye. You can try putting a warm compress on it a couple of times a day for 5-15 minutes to see if that helps with it. If it does, you can clean out the discharge from the stye with saline solution. If this doesn't help, then I would take him into the vet. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Frankie. That looks like some kind of lump, and it could be it's a stye. I'd try applying a warm compress to it five minutes a day a couple times a day to see if that helps open it up and drain. If this does not help, it gets bigger, starts bleeding or has pus, or it starts to bother her, then I would have her seen by a vet for it. I hope this helps!

Bump on eye. Stye??? He’s an 8 week old Goldendoodle. Any home remedies?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Zero. It is possible that he has as infection along his eyelid such as a stye like you mentioned. He will likely need to see his veterinarian as he will need antibiotics if this is the case. In the meantime, you can try applying warm compresses to the eyelid. Use a warm (not hot) washcloth and hold it to the eyelid for several minutes two to three times per day. Make sure the temperature of the washcloth would be comfortable on your own skin. Pomeranian female, 3yrs.old(adopted) has some swelling on bottom outer eyelid. Seen vet this week, given an opthalmic ointment,but does not seem to do anything. Almost looks like a stye on a human.
Dogs can get styes like humans, and you can try pressing a warm compress on this area for five to 10 minutes at a time a couple of times a day. If Belle does have a stye, this warm compress will encourage it to drain. Should this not help with the swelling after 24 hours, then I would have Belle seen by a vet on Monday.

My Boston terrier has a small bump on the lower part of his eye. I’m unsure if this is a style or not?

Hi there! My new puppy has this bump on her lower eye, i’m not sure if it could be a stye or if it is something more serious. It seems to have gotten a bit larger over the past couple days or so.
Hi there, I'm concerned at the size and redness of the bump, this might be a stye or something that similar that is infected. I'd recommend taking her to her veterinarian when possible this week to have her assessed and treated. She may need eye drops or oral medications if it's a deep infection. I hope that's helpful. How do I treat a small sty on my dogs eye at home with an at home remedy?
Soaked a soft washcloth in hot water, let it cool a bit (it should be warm to the touch), and apply it to the sty for five minutes at a time a couple of times a days. If this doesn't help drain the sty, have her seen by a vet.

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. At this stage it is not possible to rule out that a small mass is developing (stye is possible, but a small benign tumor should be considered as well). A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well. Hello my puppy just woke up with a pink bump on his upper eye lid I’m really concerned
It may just be a stye or even an insect bite. As long as it isn't bothering him, I wouldn't be worried about it and just recommend monitoring it. A lot of times these go away on their own. However, if it is bothering him I would recommend placing an e-collar on him to prevent him from rubbing his face for now, then get him seen by your vet for medications to help it resolve. My Maltipoo has two bumps (what look like styes) under his right eye and two bumps at the eyelid of his left eye . What can i do for him without bringing him to the vet
Unfortunately you cannot do much back home as the easiest way to treat them would be to try some antibiotics+antiinflammatory drops which are on prescription anyway. This treatment may help in case of inflammatory ''bumps'' and can reduce their size. In the case the bumps have a completely different nature (skin cyst or benign or malignant tumors) a completely different approach is required. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration).
