My Labrador is very sick, weak, not eating. Does he need a vet now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 11 years and 7 months old

Hi! My labrador is acting not himself, he's drooling a lot and has excessive eye boogers, he's very weak can barely walk, and he hasn't been eating for 3 days now. Several weeks ago he did bleed out of his peepee area but was fine completely playful etc. Now he just seems really sick but I don't know what it is or what to do. Please help!

If Chase is very weak, can barely walk, and hasn't eaten for three days now, this is a medical emergency and he has to see a vet immediately. There is nothing you can do for him at home, he needs to be seen by a vet to diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
