Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 16 lbs
My cat had an accident with his leg awhile ago and while he doesn’t show pain physically, he is frequently having fits whenever he sleeps. This is making him fall off chairs, bang his head off walls and wet him self. I’ve told his vet about this but they keep saying there is nothing wrong with him. I don’t want him to continue to be i such an uncomfortable state but my vet won’t help him. Is there anything I can tell my vet to make him help or is there something I can do for my cat. Thank you.

Hello. It sounds like Tyson is having seizures. These are likely unrelated to the leg injury. If your vet tps rechecking his leg, that is probably not the issue. Tyson may have epilepsy, but your veterinarian should do blood work to rule out underlying disease processes that could be the underlying cause. If his blood work is normal, your veterinarian can discuss medication to control the seizures or reduce their frequency and severity. It would be a great idea if you can record a video of one of these guys in order for your veterinarian to get a clearer picture of the problem. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach
