Based on the pictures you provided it does appear that there is some hemorrhage under the skin of the eye. This is most likely related to trauma (ie hitting the eye/face on something). Keep an eye on it for now. If your bird is otherwise acting normal then I would not worry about it too much. If however the redness spreads or your bird seems painful you should probably take him in to be checked out by your veterinarian. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.

I would have to examine him better, but this appears to be a little bruise. The skin around the eye is very delicate and is easily bruised. This often happens when they are playing with solid toys. There's nothing that needs to be done for this. Just observe it for now. It should start to look normal in about a week. If it seems to be getting worse, or is not getting better within a week, then I would reccomend taking him to the vet for an evaluation. I hope that helps and Peko gets better soon.

Thanks for reaching out about Sky and including photos. The lesion can not be identified in the pictures but a trauma or infection are most likely. It could have been a small squabble with the female also so watch for continued aggression. Monitor appetite and activity and if the redness persists, a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a treatment plan. Good luck.
