My dog licked his paw raw. How do I stop it and treat the wound?

a couple of days ago my dog started licking his foot like it was hurting and now he's licked it raw

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. It is possible that Hercules caused a hotspot like area on the foot. I would recommend using a plastic cone around his head to prevent him from licking at it further. I would then recommend using an antiseptic spray such as Malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved. If there is no improvement or the skin condition worsens I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
