Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed
Okay, so we recently adopted a third cat into our family, with the other two having been around for two years. We thought the cat was odd, but she was extremely friendly and didn't seem to have a problem with the smell of our other cats. She is not friendly with the other pets, but it hadn't ever escalated besides a hiss or two. Recently though she's been attacking my brother because she is getting protective when he plays and roughhouses. How can we help her stop being so overprotective?

It can take some time for cats and other pets to get along and sometimes they only tolerate each other. I would add some feliway diffusers throughout the house to help keep her calm. Feliway is a cat pheromones that helps to take off the edge. You can also get calming chews like vetriscience composure or the stronger prescription formula composure pro. If this doesn't work, I would talk to your vet about an anti-anxiety medicine for her. Finally, I would try to ask your brother not to rough house if possible while she is around. I hope this helps!
