Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 24 days old

My 5 month old Rottweiler, King, got his last set of shots last week (June 6) is it safe to start walking him now. Also is there anything I can do or give him for car sickness he vomits no matter how short the drive is and now he is out growing his kennel and I would like to just have him on a blanket in back for car rides so that he is comfortable

Yes, 7-10 days after final vaccine should be fine to be out and meeting other dogs. Travel sickness generally does improve with time and sitting with him in the car on the driveway with a favorite chew toy etc so he can associate it with a resting place can be very helpful, follow by turning on the engine whilst stationary so he can get used to the vibration and take him on many short joourneys as soon as he is used to it. Natural calming supplements can help and there are prescription anti nausea medications available should you need to go on a long journey before he is ready
