why does my dog growl all the time but he never bites. what wrong? is he unhappy or just talking? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 5 years and 5 months old | 5.5 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This type of behavior is often due to anxiety which can develop at any time and usually worsens with time. I would strongly recommend talking to your vet about anti-anxiety/ behavior modification medication which can make a huge difference! Often times, training is also needed in conjunction to medication. Best of luck to you and Yogi!
