Hello, Is is ok to mix Royal canin Savor dry food with the Kitten Chaton, he is 7 months old and I was told at the store that even thought he wasn't 1 yr old he would get the same nutirents with the Savor, as he would with the kitten food. I would like to make sure that he is getting the nutrients he needs with the Savor ,II he isn't, can I mix the two since he is a picky eater and loves the Savor. Don't know if he would like the Chaton on it's own I can try if that's what is recommended. TY

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Kittens should be on kitten food primarily until they are 9 months to a year of age. There are differences in the nutritional content of these foods. The kitten formula has higher protein, calcium, vitamin D and E to help support health growth then the Savor does. I would recommend your kitten continues to eat the kitten formula until 9 months to a year old and then you can transition him back to the Savor or another adult formula. I hope this helps!
