My cat has dark urine, isn't drinking, and is inactive. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1816 years and 9 months old | 18 lbs

I HAVE A MALE CAT THAT IS URINATING GOLDEN BROWN IN COLOR. HE IS 3 TO 4 YRS. OLD. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM. HE DOES NOT LOOK BAD, BUT I NOTICED HIS HAIR LOOKS STREAKY LIKE. HE IS NOT ACTIVE MUCH. HE STAYS UNDER THE LOVE SEAT. WE HAVE TO PULL HIM OUT FOR HIM TO EAT AND DRINK. HE'S NOT DRINKING HARDLY AT ALL. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG. I AM A SET LOW INCOME PERSON. I DO NOT HAVE MUCH MONEY. I AM SCARED! COULD YOU PLEASE! HELP ME. THANK YOU!

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. That urine looks very very concentrated, which is suggestive that Marshall is dehydrated. This coincides with him not drinking. I would recommend getting him to a vet if you can, otherwise try to increase his water intake. Try getting him canned food, and adding water to the food, or providing him with fresh water, or running water (some cats like this). When you can I would get him to a vet, as I am concerned there is something serious going on inside him. Best of luck with Marshall, I hope he feels better soon!
