Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Hi, i just got a kitten today. She seems extremely scared and doesn’t seem to be happy. Doesnt play or eat or voluntarily walk or run etc. I am feeding milk with a feeder, however she either sits quiet or if left on the floor, she searches for places to hide. Also hisses at me sometimes... no wound on the body but shs doesnt walk or be active normally and if left on any surface, she walks very slow and low to the ground. Is still very scared and doesnt eat or drink or demand foos herself

Poor Onyx! She sounds quite scared. I would continue to allow her to familiarize herself with her new environment and you as her new ‘human’. Some cats will be quite sociable from the outset, others take time to adjust to new surroundings. Provide her with plenty of hiding places where she can be safe, give her space to become acclimated, and ensure she has food and water available in a safe location. You can spend time just sitting on the floor near her, maybe tease her with a toy on a string and see if you can coax her closer. Take it nice and slow with her and I suspect that soon she will be bouncing all over the house!
