My dog is drooling after Hartz flea treatment. Is she poisoned?

Hi and thank you in advance, my sister put Hartz ultra guard to get rid of fleas and now her poodle started drooling alot since yesterday around 4pm. She is still happy and active but she never drools that much and we are now afraid she could have eaten some of it and gotten poisoned or that some of the product fell in her food, which she already ate. The only symptom she has right now is drooling should i take her to the veterinary clinic or keep her in observation?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You can call the number on the back of the Hartz product. It is free advice on the product. They can tell you if the drooling is related and if you have to worry. It is possible she licked some of it off her fur. Personally I would recommend washing the product off with Dawn shampoo, repeatedly at the location of application. I wouldn't use it again for sure. I do think she will likely be fine. That number on the package is very helpful. I wish Pantera the best!
