My cat was bitten by dog, now throwing up white foam. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | 10 lbs

My cat and dog were playing together and the dog bit the cat one her foot. She has been sitting in my lap for a bit and she just started throwing up white foam is that normal?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If the bite appear to be deep, or do you suspect any fracture of her foot, pain could potential he cause vomiting. However unless extremely painful I would not suspect a bite to the foot is related to vomiting. Unless your dog was a bit rough with Cheese and may have caused other injury. If she has any other episodes of vomiting, acts painful or if the bite did cause bleeding or significant swelling/lameness then I recommend taking her to an emergency vet now. In the meantime monitor her closely- if no other abnormal signs and she eats and drinks normal then I would separate them to prevent any further injury.
