My parents are having some bed bug problems and they are getting their house treated tomorrow. They want me to take their cat for awhile while the house is being treated. How can I make sure the cat doesn't bring any bugs to my house?

Hello. True bedbugs definitely prefer humans to pets, so there is only a small chance of the cat bringing the pests into your home. But there is a small chance this can happen. I would really recommend boarding the cat while the home is being treated. There are no recommended products that can be used on a cat, so treatment is geared toward eliminating the pests in the home environment. Any bedbugs that MAY be in the cat, will die once back in the treated environment. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
