My cat has a fever and hasn't eaten for days. Can I give Amoxicillin?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 6.61 lbs

My cat chinpu is suffering from fever and didn't eat anything from the last 5days. Can i give him Amoxicillin? And if not then which medicine I should give him? Please help me. I'll always thankful for your help.

No, you need to bring him to the vet urgently, a cat that does not eat for more than 3 days starts developing a condition called fatty liver and this must be treated with iv fluids, anti emetic medications and other medications to support the liver, this is even before your vet finds and treats the original condition that caused him to stop eating in the first place. you must take him to the vet today otherwise he will not survive and you cannot treat this at home.

    THe only medication for fever in cats is Meloxicam but this needs to be given by your vet, there is nothing from a human pharmacy that is safe for cats. if he is not eating for 2 days- the amoxy drops are not enough, he will need other medications and treatment, please take him back to the vet ASAP.
