How do I know which pet food is better based on ingredients?

I'm wondering which of these two foods is better? (Based on the ingredients) Please explain, thanks! Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 years and 11 months old | 17 lbs

The purple one seems to be a little better, mainly because the 3 first ingredients are meat while the first one only has the first ingredient marked as meat, but it's hard to know for sure without knowing what quantity of each is present in the food.
