My dog swallowed a brush shaped dental treat whole. I am worried it is lodged but he won't let me check. His behavior doesn't seem different but I want to be sure. What do I do? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Male | neutered

If the treat were lodged somewhere, I would expect Rocky to be coughing or gagging. Since he is acting normally, I would presume that it is in his stomach. Depending on the product and the size of the treat, most dental treats have been designed to dissolve in the stomach. I would contact the company that made the dental treat to verify this information and see if they recommend seeking medical care.
