What's this bleeding bump on my 10-year-old Dalmatian's head?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have dalmation at home .. he has had a very weird bump on his head for the last 4 years while i was out for college. My family did not pay much attention to it at that time. Currently he is 10 years old .. very healthy and active and has had no visible symptoms ever(except rarely this bump has a little blood on it ), but i just wanted to know what this bump is. I have attatched photos.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Although you cannot say for certain what a mass is without taking a sample and sending it away for histopathology, the mass in the picture looks most likely to be wart. This also fits with the history of bleeding once and a while, not growing in size, and not causing any pain or discomfort. Sometimes these can become annoying if they bleed frequently and can be removed, but mainly they don't cause any problems. Best of luck with your little one!
