My cat's fight wound is red, bleeding, and infected. What is it?

Hey there, I need to know whats going on here, at first I thought it was a simple hurt by another cat, but its getting red and it segregates blood every day

This is an abscess which is a deep pocket of infection that is filled with pus and blood. It is probably the result of a cat fight. Martin needs to see a veterinarian to have this treated. The abscess needs to be drained and he needs to be on a prescription antibiotic medication to resolve the infection. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach
