My dog had parvovirus over two years ago as a puppy, despite being vaccinated. He survived, but it was touch-and-go for over a week. A couple of days ago, he vomited some clear fluid but seemed fine otherwise. Yesterday, he developed severe diarrhea which has persisted. It has that "parvo smell", but it is yellow, not mahogany-colored. He doesn't seem to be very sick -- just a bit tired. His appetite is reduced, but he's eating. Could he be suffering from parvovirus again?

It would be extremely unlikely for a dog that has survived parvovirus to be affected again - the virus provides such excellent immunity that some veterinarians will take serum from recovered dogs to give transfusions to those affected with the disease (although this may or may not help). There are many other diseases that could cause diarrhea with that distinctive parvoviral smell. If the diarrhea is severe I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian who can run some tests to determine what might be causing his diarrhea this time around and start some treatment.
