How much dry food and wet food is hiuld give my one year old cat per day. Usually I give him tuna jelly once or twice in a week only. How much exactly should dry food be given in a day? Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! How much food you give depends on his current weight, age, activity level, and whether he is neutered or intact. For Whiskey who is not yet neutered, I would estimate he needs around 300 calories per day. Most food packages contain the calorie content on the back of the packaging and you can adjust amounts accordingly. Carrots are great! They make a very healthy treat. I hope this helps!
