My dog's genitals are purple with a closed wound. Is it infected?

Hello, my dog has purple around his genitals and it looks like he got shot or something because it looks like a hole was made but it got closed up do you what he has?

it looks infected with the discharge in the middle. It may have been a bite wound or puncture from a foreign body. The body is trying to heal it by itself but it may not be able to if there is an infection present. Keep the area clean with soap and water and you can apply neosporin to help i would get it checked by a vet to make sure there were no deeper injuries and to get the infection better under control so it can heal properly
