Dog's dry, scaly skin won't go away. What should I try next?

My dog has several patchy, dry, scaly spots and I've used Septiderm-V as shampoo for months now and still have dry scaly spots. What should I do next? She's 10 yrs old and a mix Chihuahua/poodle. I give her Royal Canin for mature dog food. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 9 years and 7 months old | 25 lbs

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You may want to try the Douxo products, namely Douxo Calm Shampoo which can be purchase through your veterinarian or online pet store retailer. You can also try using a fish oil supplement as well. Fish oil is wonderful for coat and skin health. If these don't seem to help or Midnight's skin becomes worse, I would recommend she sees her veterinarian. I hope this helps!
