Our queen cat never passed the second placenta with her second kitten.

She may have eaten the placenta when you were not looking. If she is not feeling well, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. If she is absolutely fine, I would just keep an eye on her for now. She may have passed the placenta when you were sleeping and ate it then. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
