Is my guinea pig's circular or teardrop poop healthy or normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Guinea Pig | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 24 days old

I am concerned over my piggies stool. It has been normal but every so often since last night his stool was circular or a small tear drop. Does it look healthy or should I be concerned? The longer stool is normal, the round isn't.

This is a normal poop. Actually the round on should be a bit bigger and squishyer as it is from the caecum. Make sure your piggy drinks enough fresh water, and offer lots of greens and a bit of cucumber, This will help the digestion. One often does not see the round poop pellets, as guinea pigs tend to eat them in order to keep the bacteria in their gut healthy.
