What's a normal platelet count for dogs? Why aren't my dog's rising?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 6 months old

He had fever on 10 may and on 12 may he came positive with babesia gibsoni and his platelets were 100000 after 2 weeks he again went for blood check where his platelets came 75000 after 4 days giving him prednisone steroid his platelets came 155000 on 29 may today on 9 june vet told us to fo fo platelet check again and today it came 153000 so my question is how much platelets are normal for dogs as laboratory give us bracket in between of 200 thousand to 600thousand why his platelets not increas

While “normal” values on the reference range is over 200,000, low platelets don’t tend to cause an issue until they are less than 100,000 (and then it would increase risk for excessive bleeding from surgery, or prolonged bleeding from a wound, etc). A platelet count of less than 50,000 puts a dog at risk for “spontaneous” bleeding, meaning everyday happenings could result in bleeding into the urinary tract, vowel, from the nose, eyes, gums, etc. Platelet counts of less than 10,000-20,000 are critical.
