Hello, 3 weeks ago my English Bulldog died and we do not really what happened, veterinarians from my country say that he was bitten by some insect and it caused some allergic reaction and he could not breathe, I would like to know if there is some antidote in such situations or vaccine or something to prevent such sorrow situations in future, because I want to buy another English bulldog and I want to know everything possible to avoid such situation.

I am sorry for your loss. Severe allergic reactions rare very rare but can be rapidly fatal in sensitive dogs but are almost impossible to predict. Insect repellents such as seresto collars or monthly advantix drops can be helpful to reduce the risk of insect bites. Unfortunately allergies can develop to almost anything and are not entirely preventable howeever
