Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Today I noticed that my puppy had about 9 fleas on him after bathing him I spotted a few more. Is there anything I can give him until I take him to the vet in the morning? What can I use to instantly kill the fleas?

There are no home remedies other than combing out the fur with a flea comb and drowning the fleas in detergent water. Your vet can prescribe flea medications and give you a pill that kills all the fleas on your dog right away.
