My dog bites my shoes and nips my feet. How do I stop this behavior?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 months and 12 days old | 22 lbs

Charlie likes to bite and chew old shoes and sandals and we have no problem with that, but when he tries to bite the shoes my wife or me are wearing he gets angry and has bitten us a couple of times. How can I make him stop?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Charlie. I would recommend stop letting him chew on old shoes. He does not understand the difference and will just see the shoes on your feet as moving chew toys. This is likey a fun game for him. Put away all the old shoes. Then if he goes for the shoes on your feet, redirect him to something positive such as a toy. If he is still going after your shoes, walk a way for a bit. He needs to learn this is not an appropriate way to play. I hope this information helps!
