If Chaco is otherwise still active, playful, eating, drinking, and has not been vomiting, I think it is ok to just keep an eye on him for a couple more days. Offer a bland diet (such as plain cooked chicken and white rice) and monitor his appetite and activity level. If he hasn't been dewormed in the past 4 weeks, that would also be advisable. If his stools are not looking more normal in a few days, or if at any point he starts vomiting, acting like he doesn't feel good, or the stool becomes bloody, take him to your vet. Hello. Most diarrheas are self-limiting & as long as Wallace is bright & alert, eating & drinking well, I would not be too concerned. You might try switching him to a bland diet for a few days, 25% cooked chicken or hamburger with all fat removed, mixed with 75% plain white rice or low fat cottage cheese. You might also want to take a stool sample to your veterinarian just to make sure he has not picked up a parasite. If the diarrhea continues past a few days on the bland diet, or it turns bloody & Wallace acts at all unwell, please see your veterinarian.
