My dog pines, won't eat, and snaps when I leave. Is it anxiety?

Hi can you help me my sister as jack russell dog male who's 4 and for some reason when he as not only become very attached to me he's started pining when ever i go home after a visit he wont eat or socialize with anyone and he's even snapped at people in the family its causing lots of destress to my sister. Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | 4 years and 2 months old | 18 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It sounds like Patch has some separation anxiety and generalized anxiety going on. I would strongly recommend talking to your vet about anti-anxiety/ behavior modification medication which can make a huge difference! I would also encourage your sister to start some training and play with Patch every day to help strengthen their trust and bond. Best of luck to you all!
