Can oranasal fistula cause bone erosion?

Hello. Yes, an oronasal fistula, which often occurs from severe dental abscessation, can also result in bone erosion. Once the underlying problem is addressed, such as an infection, some bone may heal, but fistulas can remain for a very long time. Make sure you stay on top of this with your veterinarian & follow all recommendations. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
