Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 20 lbs
Hi, I am buying a trained dog. The trainer got the puppy at 8 weeks of age and will train him as a thetapy dog until he is 10 months old. Then I will continue to develop his therapy dog skills based on the fundations aquired from his training. However, the puppy has developed a strong bond with one of the trainers. So my question is, will my dog be able to develop a bond with me and my kids? Will his training be forgoten once he gets to our home due to his strong bond with his trainer?

Hi there. Dogs are generally very good at forming new bonds when they change homes, so I doubt that this will be a problem at all :) You will need to keep up with his training and follow the directions you are given in order for his skills to stay sharp - but as long as you do this, he should adapt and remember his training just fine.
