How long does it take 8 month old kitten To be trained on a harness. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 months and 17 days old | 6 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There isn't an answer to that question in terms of a specific time, as it depends on each individual pet! I think it's a great idea for cats who want to enjoy the outside in a safe way; I would recommend by starting to have Oreo wear a harness around the house to get her used to wearing it, then attach her leash while in the house and allow her to adjust to its weight. Finally, then I'd take her outside for an adjustment to being in the yard on it. Some cats progress in a couple weeks, and others can take a little longer. Good luck!
