I accidentally gave my puppy too much amoxicillin. Is he okay?

How easy is it to overdose amoxicillin? My vet told me to give my puppy 1.5 mL morning and evening, but unfortunately the syringe was difficult to read and I accidentally gave him 2.5 mL. Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 13 days old | 12 lbs

Hello. Amoxicillin is a very safe medication with a large range of appropriate doses. I would not worry at all about this one time overdose. Just continue with the 1.5 ml at the next scheduled time. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
