My dog has an armpit rash. Should I take him to the vet again?

My dog has a rash on his left armpit and not sure if i should take him to the vet. Took him recently to a vet that treated him for allergies, we think an allergy to grass. Have 20 mg prednisone (5 left) and 4 mg chlorph..., an antihistamine (2 left). Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 5 years and 10 months old | 72 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about Lenny. This could indeed be associated with his allergies and has not developed a local skin infection. This means that Lenny may require topical and/or oral antibiotics to treat the rash. Lenny should be evaluated by his veterinarian if this rash is not improving on its own or if its getting worse so that he can have medications. Hope this helps and best of luck.
