Hello, my pup got a “Droncit Injection 56.8 mg/ml” shot on May 29. Since that day he has been having diarreah and on the poop there is always this clear slimy thing that looks like mucus. I was wondering if thay was normal because the vet did not tell me what was going to happen after he received the shot.

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While a day or two of transient diarrhea may be considered a side effect of the Droncit injection, several days in a row of diarrhea is not. There may be something underlying that is causing the diarrhea such as another parasitic infection (Droncit is only effective for tapeworms) or bacterial or viral infection. I would recommend Barry see his veterinarian again for an exam and fecal testing. You may want to bring a fecal sample with you to the appointment. Other diagnostic testing may be needed depending on what your veterinarian suspects. I hope this helps!
