Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered
I woke up to my 1.5 year old male cat howling. I went to check on him and found him laying in the floor. Picked him up and he stopped. Put him back down, and he started again, and seemed to have no balance, as if equilibrium is messed up. Just continued to lean or fall onto his left side. No visible injuries and does not cry in pain at being touched or held

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mickey. If he is still displaying these symptoms, he needs to see his veterinarian today. Is there any chance he could have eaten anything that he shouldn't have? Intoxications commonly cause disorientation and balance issues. If not, he could have an inner ear problem affecting his balance. It is best to have him examined. If he is still off balance, it will make him nauseous. He will begin to refuse food and water which will result in dehydration. I hope this information helps!
