My puppy's acne-like spots are getting worse. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 9 months old | 60 lbs

Should I take my puppy to the vet? She has these spots that look like puppy acne but they won't go away and seem to be getting worse. The one on her back had been there 2+ weeks and the one by her tail is several days old and appeared suddenly. What should we do?

Yes, I would recommend having your vet examine Isabelle since the areas are not going away and potentially getting worse. Your vet can do a couple of simple skin tests to determine what is causing the problem and determine the best treatment for her. Good luck!
